State High definitely helped me gain confidence to move so far away and allowed me to find a career path that suits me. SCASD Mental Health Resources Provide Relief to Community Families

The second week of May is National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week, and, as many communities around the country contemplate how they can better help their children and students properly care for their mental health, the State College Area School District is already ahead of the curve, providing many resources for children and families in the community.

Aiming High for Early Success

Not many can say their first office is in one of the most famous buildings in the world. But, for the last eight years, Michael Donovan, a 2004 graduate of State College Area High School, launched his career in The White House, serving directly under President Barack Obama. In a role that took him all over the globe, Michael reflects on his service to the President and how his SCASD education helped get him there.
