While their classmates are finishing lunch, a few Mount Nittany Elementary students are eating up other things than sandwiches. They’ve filed into their library for a smorgasbord of fun learning, turning the lower room into a children’s science museum.

When it comes to the arts, the Higgins family certainly have had their fair share of time in the spotlight. Both musically and theatrically inclined, Margaret, Brian, and Morgan Higgins have taken to the stage for two generations, participating in a variety of programs offered through the school district, and it all started with the Higgins’ family matriarch, Margaret.

Memorial Field is currently the district’s only stadium facility, and is used by more than a dozen teams for a wide array of interscholastic competitions. The facility is also used for community events throughout the year.
