Carnegie Science Center Coming to Park Forest Middle School

Nothing beats learning through experience, according to Richard Schmidt who teaches 6th grade science at Park Forest. He knows that seeing conceptual ideas come to life is one of the best ways for students to grasp and understand the curriculum. With a Student Opportunity grant, he’s bringing this opportunity to his students in a big way!

A Different Kind of March Madness at Radio Park Elementary

Sometimes a little competition can light a spark. Mary Robert, second grade teacher at Radio Park Elementary, proved it last year when she organized March Book Madness for students. This year, she’ll do it again with help from a Student Opportunity Grant.
