Children and teen mental health disorders are surging across the country as the pandemic continues to impact school, activities and daily life. Increased demand for services indicates that this trend is present in our local district, according to administrators and the SCASD student services team.

A proactive approach to student mental health helped the district to lay the groundwork for making an impact now when demand is high is continuing to grow. The Mental Health Matters Fund being stretched to cover critical programs that:

· Bring students together around mental health awareness

· Gain first-hand advice and training from experts

· Get direct care for students in need when insurance coverage runs out or services aren’t covered

· Support families in securing their basic needs 

You can give to the Mental Health Matters Fund now, or anytime. This fund is permanent and open to donations of all sizes to make a direct and life-changing difference for students.
