A strong community is at the heart of the education foundation. Paying it forward to students and families by supporting strong public schools has proven to be a priority for individuals, families and businesses in State College. On behalf of our students, faculty, staff and families, the foundation thanks Giant Food Stores for its generous gift celebrating the grand opening of its new location on South Atherton.

When the Education Foundation was launched, a main priority was securing funds through the Education Improvement Tax Credit program. This state-operated program, known as EITC, dedicates tax credits to individuals and businesses who make contributions to qualifying 501(c)3 organizations. The Education Foundation qualifies for the program as an EIO—an educational improvement organizations—that aims to invest dollars for the benefit of students in the district.
